I'm thinking Mo/W runners are going to be popular now, throw aegis on one of them and you now have free slots on the other monks + anti-spike on the runner.

This update is just bad. ANY interesting stuff (but merch, and maybe change to dishonor system). No adressing real problems.

blah, not happy about WE. getting nerfed for PVP... also WoH and PnH nerfs suck... those were good skills the way they were. i do like the ele buff to elemental lord and the buffs to ranger skills. Merchant is nice in GToB..i dunno what the crap they did to aegis... Low blow looks fun since now warriors can inflict cracked armor much more easily with an axe/sword.... low blow should work good with "you move like a dwarf"... overall, i would say pretty small/bad update... not worth the wait.

why in hell aren't more dormant and unpopular skills/elites buffed??? i really don't get it... that's the stuff that would make the game more interesting... rather than changing skills, reverting them back to their original status after a change... example: warriors endurance... used to be a stance, changed to a skill, now a stance again.... jesus make up your minds anet. tinkering with the same skills is aggravating and discouraging.

aegis for pvp is junk 3 seconds 30 sec recharge is hardly a skillto be used

I'm still hoping for an update where they look a bit more at the PvE side of things.

Of course, that's gonna have to wait until they get a few more of the problems in PvP settled down...which will take quite a long time, actually...

Well..unless there is a part 2, I give up on the game.
Honestly 1/2 a year for this kind of an update? Let's address a few of the bigger problems, some skills no one cares about and call it a day. Sure, they had the 4th year update, but balance > stylist/namechange.

I lol'ed hard.

Fast random thoughts:

PvP Aegis just got Smiter's Boon'ed.
And SoH aswell.
Way to do balancing!

And where's the lifesteal functionality chage? Was too buggy? Not enough time to test? At least bspike isn't any problem in current meta so it's a nonissue.

PvE:
No SF nerf for PvE after over a YEAR of being obvious it's totally broken (not to mention RoJ and a few other skills).

but PvE has to get more absurd imba! Tryptophan Signet :O
Low Blow will see A LOT of use aswell.
Elemental Lord - good change, weak skill turned into decent, not overpowered - in some builds I'd still use AoR over this.

EDIT::

Second thought: I must be blind, I missed the PnH nerf on the first glance. Was obviously needed, but will it see play after such a strong hit?

Nerfs of Foul Feast and Protective will have big impact on a wide range of PvP formats, both skills were heavily used, can't say what will happen now.

Why the nerf to Protective Was Kaolai? It wasn't needed in PvE and basically just messes up Sabway and Discordway.

Amazing update. I'm not actually sure how they did it, but ArenaNet actually managed to smiter's boon certain skills, wreck others still, insubstantially nerf several critical skills, and manage to push the meta to superpowered physicals, all in one update.

Anet, you might not balance skills well, but you sure know how to make a terrible update.
